InMode Forma

How it works

InMode Forma is a bipolar radiofrequency system from InMode. Current passes between electrodes in the handpiece, warming the upper layers of the skin to a target temperature that the device monitors as the practitioner moves over the area. Because it does not need a return pad and holds the skin at a steady warmth, treatment is typically a series of gentle sessions. Any firming effect is gradual and varies by person.

• Sessions are often grouped in a short series at set intervals, and the quote should say how many sessions it covers.
• The unit is typically the treated area per session, not shots.
• InMode also sells other devices, such as Morpheus8, so make sure the name on the estimate is Forma.
• Treatment time per area may differ, and a clinic that lists minutes is giving you a useful comparison number.

How InMode Forma affects a treatment quote

Forma plans tend to be sold as a course. That makes the central question how many sessions the figure covers and how far apart they are. A single-session figure next to a package figure will mislead unless you divide the package by its visits.

Within each session, ask which areas are treated and for roughly how long. A face-only session and a face-and-neck session are not the same item. Ask too whether a maintenance visit is suggested after the series, and whether it is priced at the same rate. As with any plan, numbing, tax and the consultation fee are separate. The doctor sets the series after examining your skin.
