Carbon Laser Peel

A carbon lotion and a Q-switched laser are combined for pores, oil and dull skin. The price question is mostly the number of sessions and whether the lotion, masks and extras are in the figure.

How it works

A thin layer of carbon lotion is spread on the skin and settles into pores. A Q-switched laser then heats the carbon particles, which loosens debris and may reduce oil and surface dullness. The treatment is repeated about every two to four weeks, often three to six times. Cost depends on the number of sessions, the area and any added steps such as a soothing mask or cleansing. Results vary by person and fade without maintenance.

Who it may suit

  • Enlarged pores and oily, congested skin
  • Dull tone and rough texture
  • Mild active acne under the doctor's guidance
  • People who prefer almost no downtime

The treatment day

  1. Skin check. The doctor checks for active infection, recent isotretinoin use and sensitivity.
  2. Carbon application. The lotion is applied and left for a short time.
  3. Laser passes. The laser is passed over the face, sometimes twice, and the lotion is removed.
  4. Soothing. A cooling mask or moisturizer is applied.

Aftercare

  • Mild redness usually settles within hours
  • Use sunscreen and gentle moisturizer
  • Avoid strong exfoliants for a few days
  • Keep skin hydrated
  • Report burning, blistering or a flare of acne

Things to know first

  • Temporary redness, dryness, small pimples or sensitivity can occur
  • Pigment change and burns are uncommon
  • Isotretinoin use, active infection, pregnancy and recent tanning are usual reasons to wait
  • Pore size cannot be permanently changed, and results fade
  • Results vary by person

What the price of a carbon laser peel depends on

Because it is a series, the number of sessions is the first thing to ask about. A single visit is often priced attractively, but a plan of several visits is the realistic purchase. Ask for the expected number and the interval.

The second variable is what is wrapped around the laser step. A basic session may involve only the lotion and the laser, while a fuller version adds extraction, an ampoule or a mask. Each addition can be a separate line, so ask for them itemized.

Packages often reduce the per-session figure. Check expiry dates and refund terms, and whether tax is included. If the plan is for acne, ask whether it replaces or adds to prescription care.

Carbon Laser Peel: common questions

Why is the first session often cheaper?

Clinics may use it to introduce the treatment. Ask for the full course total as well.

Are masks included?

Sometimes. Confirm whether soothing masks and ampoules are in the figure.

Does it replace acne treatment?

Not usually. It may support it, and the doctor decides how it fits with other care.

How long do results last?

Effects fade over weeks, so repeat sessions are common. Results vary by person.
